This huge Lego Legend of Zelda Hyrule Castle took 2.5 years to build - CNET

Lego and Legend of Zelda enthusiast Joseph Zawada unveiled his massive build of the Zelda series' iconic Hyrule Castle at the Brickfair conference in Virginia earlier this month. The build is a replica of the Hyrule Castle as seen in the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game for the Nintendo Wii and GameCube systems, and it took Zawada approximately two and a half years to build.

The Lego Hyrule Castle is both intricate and huge. In fact, the build is so big that the 19-year-old Zawada has to disassemble it into about 40 sections to transport it, and even then he needs two cars to move it.

Beyond the Brick -- a YouTube channel that interviews Lego creators -- posted an interview with Zawada on August 12 that details how he built the massive castle.

The part that gave him the most trouble were the various roof elements, as he had to figure out how to make the straight Lego bricks appear curved.
