YouTube Is Launching It's Twitch Competitor ... Today?

During June this year, YouTube announced that they would be delving into game streaming and that they intended to launch its own Twitch competitor called aptly YouTube Gaming. According to reports from TechCrunch today will be that day well in the US and UK.

I have headed over to gaming.youtube.com this morning to see what's going and as of 11am (the time I am writing this) the site is only still accepting  email addresses to notify when the site goes live and states the service will be coming Summer 2015. Adopters of this new service can expect YouTube standards such as high frame rate streaming at 60 fps, DVR and automatic conversion of streams into YouTube videos.

We will be watching this with interest and hope it proves as popular as Twitch.
